Singular Dedication

Two lives singularly dedicated to horses.
The Millers run a vet clinic at their farm. On Saturday, 6 horses showed up.

Sneaky client managed to bamboozle their vet into accepting another rescue, for a grand total of 39 horses. Two people to care for a huge herd.

Many drafts, which are the equivalent of two horses!
"Where's that lady with the magic buckets?"
Hold your horses, here she is feeding the geriatric group.
Many are pushing 40 at this old folks home. Gina lost one that was almost 50. Now, that's a long-term commitment!
Everything in their lives revolves around the welfare of their horses.

Oh sure, Gina doesn't spend all her time doting on the horses, she saved some for...
6 dogs!
Meet Miss Pollyanna, give her a minute and she'll steal your heart too.

With the horses comes...
accoutrements:
And I mean every conceivable type :

A bicycle carriage. Pedals weren't working, so I hooked up to Cole.
When Cole had enough, we hooked up to Gina! We're nice guests, aren't we?

Part of being good guests is settling in quietly...
And helping without being in the way. Cole volunteered to patrol the riding arena for pigeons.
He cleared all the wheat pastures of Canada geese too.

He valiantly tried to evict the cat from the barn.
We even stayed out from underfoot by going to play in the back 40.

Packed a picnic and went hiking.

The amigos and I running hither and dither.

Cole found ossified treasures.
And water.

Much to Pete's pleasure.

The short stop in Oklahoma was an opportunity to catch up with a dear sister and a chance to meet her brood.

Until next time.
